With communication, navigation and a camera, the Rino 755t is like a smartphone for your off-grid adventures. Preloaded with 100K resolution TOPO maps for Canada, it simplifies backcountry navigation and trip planning. The 8-megapixel camera means you can take pictures of your adventure without needing to carry another device. Each picture you take is automatically geotagged with location data via the quad-helix antenna’s excellent GPS reception. Free BaseCamp software lets you map out your adventures and pins your photos on the map. The integrated FRS/GMRS radio lets you stay in contact with other Rino units in your party, so you can communicate via talk or text without needing cell reception. Share your location with other Rino users to take the guesswork out of meeting up in the backcountry. Before heading to the trailhead, pair your device with a smartphone running the free Garmin Connect app to unlock even more potential, including real-time weather tracking, satellite terrain imagery, trip planning, fitness modes, and much moreu003c/p>

    • 2 Watt FRS/GMRS 2-way radio lets you communicate by voice or unit-to-unit texting regardless of cellular signal (range: 3.2km FRS and 32km GMRS)
    • NOAA and S.A.M.E. technology (Specific Area Message Encoding) prevent you from missing a weather alert. Alerts are only active when the weather radio is on, and you are on an active radio channel
    • Active weather provides real-time radar tracking (via a connected smartphone running Garmin Connect), which allows you to stay one step ahead of bad weather
    • 8-megapixel camera with a 4x digital zoom lets you record your adventures with geotagged images
    • Find your friends by sending other Rino users your exact location and viewing theirs on your map screen
    • Free Garmin Connect mobile app allows you to customize your Rino experience, choosing which widgets to show and when, reviewing stored activity data, selecting which apps can push notifications, and more
    • Connect IQ support allows you to download apps, templates, data fields and other features
    • Free BaseCamp navigation software lets you view and organize maps, waypoints, routes and tracks. BaseCamp will even place your geotagged photos on the correct map locations
    • BaseStation combines the power of BaseCamp with that of your laptop, acting as a full command centre that's capable of tracking multiple Rinos. View real-time GPS information on the larger display of your computer while the Rino serves as an antenna, meaning you're not dependant on internet or cell service
    • Compatible with Garmin Custom Maps, a free service that allows you to transform paper and electronic maps easily into downloadable maps for your device
    • Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ compatibility allow syncs with compatible activity sensors and accessories
    • Send smartphone notifications straight to your Rino via the Bluetooth connection to your paired smartphone
    • Compatible with all smartphones featuring Bluetooth 4.0 (iPhone 4S or higher, and Android 4.3 or higher)
    • Auto-rotating screen lets you mount your Rino horizontally or vertically
    • Integrated quad-helix antenna for enhanced signal reception from GPS and GLONASS satellites
    • Barometric altimeter helps you track your ascents, descents and total elevation changes
    • Tilt compensated 3-axis electronic compass shows your heading even when you are stationary, ensuring that you're always facing the right direction
    • IPX7 waterproofing protects your Rino from even the heaviest downpours
    • LED flash can double as a flashlight, should you get caught in the dark
    • Rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts up to 14 hours with all modes active
    • Extend your power supply options with the AA battery pack option (sold separately), which accepts one of the most globally available batteries

  • I’ve had the Zamberlan 309’s for a month now and have put about 75 km on them. They fit great right out of the box but have been getting even more comfortable every time I hike. I like the lacing system and the ability to adjust the tightness in different parts of the boot. Although they’re fairly new they are definitely waterproof and have good grip. Hopefully they hold up over time.

  • One of the best all around boots you can buy. Good for 2 hour hikes or 4 day backpacking trips. Not too stiff, but lots of support.

  • I bought these last month at the tail end of winter. I am 5 ft 7 woman approx 160 lbs. They are a great size and weight for me. I wanted a pair that would be easy to strap on as I have arthritis in my knee. The harness is easily adjustable. The back strap is a little fiddly to connect the hole into the spike and to insert the extra strap into the holder. However that is minor and after a few tries I got the hang of it. Only reason for the 4 instead of stars. Great product and I look forward to many years of use.

  • My wife and I traveled for two months last winter. These were the only shoes/sandals I brought, and they served me well through some of the harshest conditions including the desert outback in Australia, the rain in New Zealand, and several encounters with saltwater... They are the perfect everything sandal/shoe for hot, warm, and moderate climates. When we were traveling, we did lots of walking, hiking, beaching, etc. These sandals were up to the challenge of a good hike, or just recreational walking around town. While they are comfortable and breathe well, They don't easily dry while being worn, and because of the toe cap/footbed design, have a tendency to sometimes trap pebbles or sand, requiring that your remove them to shake it out. Also, after time, they really started to stink and required a through cleaning/bleaching which is strange for me because none of my other shoes ever stink. Overall, an excellent comfortable everything sandal/shoe with a few very minor flaws.

  • I bought this during the MEC sale. I wear a size 6 women boots and the size small fits my boots. I can't compare to size XS which is what is recommended for my boot size as they didn't have it in the store but my size small works and fits me well so no complaints here. Haven't used it for that long so I can't talk about the longevity but I did use them for winter hiking and they are 100% waterproof and the velcro still works!

  • l love these gaiters. They kept my feet dry in 3 days of continuous rain. I find them easy to adjust and don't budge or slide down as I am a small human. I recommend them to all my friends who want quality gaiters for a modest dollar amount. Would love to see more colours in the future!

  • Had these a short time but so far they seem pretty nice. Good quality and comfortable. My previous Targhee III’s were splitting at several seems, but these are reputed to be less prone to this.

  • I bought my first pair back in 2006 and last year replaced them with new version. Materials are high quality and very durable. We wear them 3 seasons fall/winter/spring when they are needed. Definitely happy with them. Follow sizing chart which works well for me.

  • I recently bought a pair of these from MEC and have not yet tested them in the field, but I love their hand-made Italian construction and strength, their good Vibram soles, and their general feel and good quality. They fit well, feel supportive enough for most hiking, and are a very good price. Unusually, the tongues in these boots have no seams, but are directly part of the outer boot leather, which is a bonus to not have leaking tongue seams as in most boots, and it's a sign of high-quality design and manufacturing. Zamberlan have been making boots since 1929, almost 100 years. I love these boots.

  • Loved the Targhee III's, they did start to crack after countless miles and several years of abuse, the IV's have addressed this while keeping the same comfort. I was able to take them out of the box and hike a rough 10 mile hoke with np break in.
