    Mrs. C*************an Sr.

Love the responsiveness, but took a full run to break in. First few km felt a bit stiff. Once warmed up? Magic. Great control on scree and roots. Sizing runs true for me.

    Mary*********nberg

Just wore these on a rugged Vancouver Island loop and wow—zero slippage on wet roots and steep climbs. The lugs dig in deep and the toe protection saved me more than once. Best trail shoe I've owned, hands down. Canadian winters meet their match.

    Ott*******che

Cute design and great traction, but sizing runs a tad small. Had to size up half a notch. Not as plush as other brands, but that’s the trade-off for agility. Solid for technical trails if you get the fit right.

    Miss ***********t III

Perfect balance of cushion and feel. Ripped through muddy Quebec trails last weekend and zero slip. The laces stay locked, and they drained water fast after creek crossings. So worth the hype.

    Pau*******mmel

Perfect blend of cushion and feedback. Crushed a 20K in these and felt fresh at the end. The outsole eats up wet roots and mud like it's nothing—huge win for BC’s rainy season. Stylish too, got compliments at the trailhead!

    Mcka********ire

Perfect blend of cushion and feel for the ground. These crush technical descents like butter. Lightweight but still protect your dogs at the end of a long day. 10/10 would recommend to any trail junkie in Canada dealing with mixed conditions.

    Bern*********rich

Love the responsiveness and grip, but took a few runs to break in. Heel was a bit tight at first. Once they fit? Absolute fire. Handling everything from frosty BC paths to wet Ontario forest trails no problem.

    Yazm********ston

I've been running trails from BC to Nova Scotia and these are hands down the best women’s trail shoes I’ve worn. Lightweight, aggressive tread, and the toe protection saved me more than once on sharp descents. No blisters even after 20K in the rain. Absolute beast mode. Will never go back.

    Scar********berg

These La Sportiva Bushido IIIs are a total game-changer for trail runs! Super grippy on rocky terrain and the fit is snug without pinching. Raced through muddy Quebec trails and my feet stayed stable the whole time. Worth every penny for serious runners who want precision and control.

    Sere********lke

These La Sportiva Bushido IIIs are a game-changer for trail runs in the Rockies! Super grippy on wet rocks and the fit is snug without pinching. Finally, a shoe that handles technical terrain like it's nothing. 10/10 would recommend to any fellow Canadian trail addict.

  • I’ve had the Zamberlan 309’s for a month now and have put about 75 km on them. They fit great right out of the box but have been getting even more comfortable every time I hike. I like the lacing system and the ability to adjust the tightness in different parts of the boot. Although they’re fairly new they are definitely waterproof and have good grip. Hopefully they hold up over time.

  • One of the best all around boots you can buy. Good for 2 hour hikes or 4 day backpacking trips. Not too stiff, but lots of support.

  • I bought these last month at the tail end of winter. I am 5 ft 7 woman approx 160 lbs. They are a great size and weight for me. I wanted a pair that would be easy to strap on as I have arthritis in my knee. The harness is easily adjustable. The back strap is a little fiddly to connect the hole into the spike and to insert the extra strap into the holder. However that is minor and after a few tries I got the hang of it. Only reason for the 4 instead of stars. Great product and I look forward to many years of use.

  • My wife and I traveled for two months last winter. These were the only shoes/sandals I brought, and they served me well through some of the harshest conditions including the desert outback in Australia, the rain in New Zealand, and several encounters with saltwater... They are the perfect everything sandal/shoe for hot, warm, and moderate climates. When we were traveling, we did lots of walking, hiking, beaching, etc. These sandals were up to the challenge of a good hike, or just recreational walking around town. While they are comfortable and breathe well, They don't easily dry while being worn, and because of the toe cap/footbed design, have a tendency to sometimes trap pebbles or sand, requiring that your remove them to shake it out. Also, after time, they really started to stink and required a through cleaning/bleaching which is strange for me because none of my other shoes ever stink. Overall, an excellent comfortable everything sandal/shoe with a few very minor flaws.

  • I bought this during the MEC sale. I wear a size 6 women boots and the size small fits my boots. I can't compare to size XS which is what is recommended for my boot size as they didn't have it in the store but my size small works and fits me well so no complaints here. Haven't used it for that long so I can't talk about the longevity but I did use them for winter hiking and they are 100% waterproof and the velcro still works!

  • l love these gaiters. They kept my feet dry in 3 days of continuous rain. I find them easy to adjust and don't budge or slide down as I am a small human. I recommend them to all my friends who want quality gaiters for a modest dollar amount. Would love to see more colours in the future!

  • Had these a short time but so far they seem pretty nice. Good quality and comfortable. My previous Targhee III’s were splitting at several seems, but these are reputed to be less prone to this.

  • I bought my first pair back in 2006 and last year replaced them with new version. Materials are high quality and very durable. We wear them 3 seasons fall/winter/spring when they are needed. Definitely happy with them. Follow sizing chart which works well for me.

  • I recently bought a pair of these from MEC and have not yet tested them in the field, but I love their hand-made Italian construction and strength, their good Vibram soles, and their general feel and good quality. They fit well, feel supportive enough for most hiking, and are a very good price. Unusually, the tongues in these boots have no seams, but are directly part of the outer boot leather, which is a bonus to not have leaking tongue seams as in most boots, and it's a sign of high-quality design and manufacturing. Zamberlan have been making boots since 1929, almost 100 years. I love these boots.

  • Loved the Targhee III's, they did start to crack after countless miles and several years of abuse, the IV's have addressed this while keeping the same comfort. I was able to take them out of the box and hike a rough 10 mile hoke with np break in.
