This is my third Rab jacket, and once again they nailed it. The Microlight Alpine is incredibly efficient at trapping heat without adding bulk. Perfect for fast-and-light missions in variable weather. Zippers are smooth, fabric feels durable, and the hood fits snugly with a helmet. Highly recommend for outdoor enthusiasts who value performance and comfort.

So comfortable and stylish—I wear it all the time now. The fabric feels durable, zippers are smooth, and it blocks the wind really well. Worth every penny for how often I use it.

This jacket is a game-changer for early morning trail runs. Wind-resistant and just warm enough without overheating. Packs down small in my running vest—super convenient.

    Ava******ns

Nice jacket overall—fits well and looks stylish. However, the zipper feels a bit stiff after only a few uses. Hoping it loosens up over time. Warmth level is solid for the weight.

Really like the fit and warmth, though I wish the pockets were a bit deeper. It’s great for transitional seasons. No issues with durability so far.

Bought this for a Pacific Northwest backpacking trip and couldn’t be happier. Stayed warm during early morning starts and compressed nicely in my pack. Water-resistant enough to handle light drizzle too. Excellent design and quality.

Mine started developing small tears near the armpit after only a few weeks of light use. Super disappointed because I loved the warmth and weight. Seems like the material might be too thin for regular wear.

I've been using the Rab Microlight Alpine Jacket on hikes in the Canadian Rockies, and it's been fantastic. Lightweight but surprisingly warm, even in windy conditions. It packs down small, so I can easily carry it in my daypack. The fit is sleek without being tight, and I love the clean, minimalist design. Perfect for layering or wearing on its own during cooler mornings. Highly recommend for anyone who values performance and simplicity.

I've been using the Rab Microlight Alpine Jacket on hikes in the Canadian Rockies, and it's been fantastic. Lightweight but surprisingly warm, even in chilly morning conditions. It packs down small into its pocket, which makes it easy to carry. The fit is sleek without being tight, and I appreciate the thoughtful design details like the helmet-compatible hood. Perfect for layering or wearing on its own on dry cold days.

I've been using the Rab Microlight Alpine Jacket on several hikes in the Canadian Rockies, and it's been perfect. Lightweight but surprisingly warm, even in windy conditions. It packs down small into its own pocket, which is great for layering when the weather changes fast. The fit is slim but still allows room for a base layer or light sweater. Love the hood compatibility with helmets too — makes it ideal for mountaineering. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a reliable insulated jacket.

  • I’ve had the Zamberlan 309’s for a month now and have put about 75 km on them. They fit great right out of the box but have been getting even more comfortable every time I hike. I like the lacing system and the ability to adjust the tightness in different parts of the boot. Although they’re fairly new they are definitely waterproof and have good grip. Hopefully they hold up over time.

  • One of the best all around boots you can buy. Good for 2 hour hikes or 4 day backpacking trips. Not too stiff, but lots of support.

  • I bought these last month at the tail end of winter. I am 5 ft 7 woman approx 160 lbs. They are a great size and weight for me. I wanted a pair that would be easy to strap on as I have arthritis in my knee. The harness is easily adjustable. The back strap is a little fiddly to connect the hole into the spike and to insert the extra strap into the holder. However that is minor and after a few tries I got the hang of it. Only reason for the 4 instead of stars. Great product and I look forward to many years of use.

  • My wife and I traveled for two months last winter. These were the only shoes/sandals I brought, and they served me well through some of the harshest conditions including the desert outback in Australia, the rain in New Zealand, and several encounters with saltwater... They are the perfect everything sandal/shoe for hot, warm, and moderate climates. When we were traveling, we did lots of walking, hiking, beaching, etc. These sandals were up to the challenge of a good hike, or just recreational walking around town. While they are comfortable and breathe well, They don't easily dry while being worn, and because of the toe cap/footbed design, have a tendency to sometimes trap pebbles or sand, requiring that your remove them to shake it out. Also, after time, they really started to stink and required a through cleaning/bleaching which is strange for me because none of my other shoes ever stink. Overall, an excellent comfortable everything sandal/shoe with a few very minor flaws.

  • I bought this during the MEC sale. I wear a size 6 women boots and the size small fits my boots. I can't compare to size XS which is what is recommended for my boot size as they didn't have it in the store but my size small works and fits me well so no complaints here. Haven't used it for that long so I can't talk about the longevity but I did use them for winter hiking and they are 100% waterproof and the velcro still works!

  • l love these gaiters. They kept my feet dry in 3 days of continuous rain. I find them easy to adjust and don't budge or slide down as I am a small human. I recommend them to all my friends who want quality gaiters for a modest dollar amount. Would love to see more colours in the future!

  • Had these a short time but so far they seem pretty nice. Good quality and comfortable. My previous Targhee III’s were splitting at several seems, but these are reputed to be less prone to this.

  • I bought my first pair back in 2006 and last year replaced them with new version. Materials are high quality and very durable. We wear them 3 seasons fall/winter/spring when they are needed. Definitely happy with them. Follow sizing chart which works well for me.

  • I recently bought a pair of these from MEC and have not yet tested them in the field, but I love their hand-made Italian construction and strength, their good Vibram soles, and their general feel and good quality. They fit well, feel supportive enough for most hiking, and are a very good price. Unusually, the tongues in these boots have no seams, but are directly part of the outer boot leather, which is a bonus to not have leaking tongue seams as in most boots, and it's a sign of high-quality design and manufacturing. Zamberlan have been making boots since 1929, almost 100 years. I love these boots.

  • Loved the Targhee III's, they did start to crack after countless miles and several years of abuse, the IV's have addressed this while keeping the same comfort. I was able to take them out of the box and hike a rough 10 mile hoke with np break in.
