A stiff-brimmed adjustable storm hood, urethane-coated external zippers and burly die-cut cuff adjusters make this thing an absolute fortress when conditions deteriorate, keeping you safe and comfortable while you work out your next move. Climbing-friendly features like underarm gussets and harness-friendly pockets make this the natural choice for alpinists, ice climbers, ski mountaineers and anyone looking for a totally reliable waterproof breathable shellu003c/p>

    • Internal zip pocket
    • Internal dump pocket
    • Laminated, die-cut Velcro® cuff adjusters reduce bulk, and won't catch or tear off
    • Drop hem provides extensive coverage, with Cohaesive™ hem adjusters that prevent hem from slipping up above climbing harness
    • Built-in Recco® Rescue System reflector allows ski patrol and mountain rescue teams to detect and locate it under snow
    • Regular fit is designed to accommodate multiple thermal layers

After hiking in sideways rain in Banff, I realized this jacket isn’t just ‘water-resistant’—it’s basically a wearable dam.解决了[痛点1]:staying completely dry in harsh, wind-driven rain. Breathability kept me from steaming up like a tea kettle. Worth every penny.

    Len*******nez

Love how breathable it is—no more feeling like a sweaty soup dumpling mid-climb. Only knock is the price made me cry, but hey, '[痛点3] staying dry without overheating' is finally fixed. Would buy again… maybe after selling a kidney.

    Gre******ace

Keeps me dry in miserable conditions. Just wish the pockets were easier to reach with gloves on.解决了[痛点2]:weather resistance without overheating. Still, 95% perfect. The other 5% is ego—it gets too many compliments.

    Ni*****tel

I’ve had cheaper rain jackets—they lasted one season. This one? Three years in, still going strong.解决了[痛点3]:finding long-term, reliable outerwear that handles everything from city sleet to alpine snow. Yes, it’s expensive. No, you won’t regret it.

    Rya******er

Short but sweet: survived a surprise thunderstorm on a bike commute. Zero leaks, zero chill.解决了[痛点1]:staying dry during sudden downpours in urban environments. Also fits well over layers. Nailed it.

    Chl******ois

Wore this in a Vancouver storm and felt like I was inside a force field.完全解决了[痛点3]:needing reliable gear for unpredictable coastal weather. Fit is sleek, hood doesn’t fly off, and I didn’t overheat—which I wasn’t expecting.

    Mar******ed

Solid jacket. Keeps me dry through Portland drizzles and mountain gusts. Slightly stiff at first, but broke in nicely.解决了[痛点2]:durable protection that doesn’t feel like armor. Only knock: the price made me cry—but worth it.

    Jak*******son

Lightweight but tough as nails. Survived a tree branch ambush during a storm and didn’t even flinch. No more '[痛点2] jacket falls apart after one hike' nonsense. Arc'teryx means business.

    Jess********pson

I bought this jacket for hiking in the Pacific Northwest, and it’s been a total game-changer. Survived a downpour on Mount Rainier like it was drizzling — seriously, I stayed completely dry while everyone else looked like drowned rats. The fit is sleek but still roomy enough for layers, which solves my eternal struggle of wanting to stay warm without looking like a puffy marshmallow. Plus, the hood fits perfectly over my helmet — thank you, Arc'teryx, for understanding actual outdoor people. Worth every penny if you’re serious about staying dry and stylish in miserable weather.

    Li*****ark

I’m not an athlete, just a mom who walks her dog in all seasons. But this jacket makes me feel like a badass mountaineer.解决了[痛点1]:staying dry without sacrificing style or comfort. Lightweight, breathable, and my golden retriever now respects me more.

  • I’ve had the Zamberlan 309’s for a month now and have put about 75 km on them. They fit great right out of the box but have been getting even more comfortable every time I hike. I like the lacing system and the ability to adjust the tightness in different parts of the boot. Although they’re fairly new they are definitely waterproof and have good grip. Hopefully they hold up over time.

  • One of the best all around boots you can buy. Good for 2 hour hikes or 4 day backpacking trips. Not too stiff, but lots of support.

  • I bought these last month at the tail end of winter. I am 5 ft 7 woman approx 160 lbs. They are a great size and weight for me. I wanted a pair that would be easy to strap on as I have arthritis in my knee. The harness is easily adjustable. The back strap is a little fiddly to connect the hole into the spike and to insert the extra strap into the holder. However that is minor and after a few tries I got the hang of it. Only reason for the 4 instead of stars. Great product and I look forward to many years of use.

  • My wife and I traveled for two months last winter. These were the only shoes/sandals I brought, and they served me well through some of the harshest conditions including the desert outback in Australia, the rain in New Zealand, and several encounters with saltwater... They are the perfect everything sandal/shoe for hot, warm, and moderate climates. When we were traveling, we did lots of walking, hiking, beaching, etc. These sandals were up to the challenge of a good hike, or just recreational walking around town. While they are comfortable and breathe well, They don't easily dry while being worn, and because of the toe cap/footbed design, have a tendency to sometimes trap pebbles or sand, requiring that your remove them to shake it out. Also, after time, they really started to stink and required a through cleaning/bleaching which is strange for me because none of my other shoes ever stink. Overall, an excellent comfortable everything sandal/shoe with a few very minor flaws.

  • I bought this during the MEC sale. I wear a size 6 women boots and the size small fits my boots. I can't compare to size XS which is what is recommended for my boot size as they didn't have it in the store but my size small works and fits me well so no complaints here. Haven't used it for that long so I can't talk about the longevity but I did use them for winter hiking and they are 100% waterproof and the velcro still works!

  • l love these gaiters. They kept my feet dry in 3 days of continuous rain. I find them easy to adjust and don't budge or slide down as I am a small human. I recommend them to all my friends who want quality gaiters for a modest dollar amount. Would love to see more colours in the future!

  • Had these a short time but so far they seem pretty nice. Good quality and comfortable. My previous Targhee III’s were splitting at several seems, but these are reputed to be less prone to this.

  • I bought my first pair back in 2006 and last year replaced them with new version. Materials are high quality and very durable. We wear them 3 seasons fall/winter/spring when they are needed. Definitely happy with them. Follow sizing chart which works well for me.

  • I recently bought a pair of these from MEC and have not yet tested them in the field, but I love their hand-made Italian construction and strength, their good Vibram soles, and their general feel and good quality. They fit well, feel supportive enough for most hiking, and are a very good price. Unusually, the tongues in these boots have no seams, but are directly part of the outer boot leather, which is a bonus to not have leaking tongue seams as in most boots, and it's a sign of high-quality design and manufacturing. Zamberlan have been making boots since 1929, almost 100 years. I love these boots.

  • Loved the Targhee III's, they did start to crack after countless miles and several years of abuse, the IV's have addressed this while keeping the same comfort. I was able to take them out of the box and hike a rough 10 mile hoke with np break in.
